Ranu Mondal's Life To Be Now Portrayed On Celluloid, Biopic On Her With Bengali Actress Sudipta Chakraborty Is On Cards
Ranu Mondal is going places. All thanks to Himesh Reshammiya who gave her the big break by singing Teri Meri Kahani, Ranu Mandal makes it to the news every other day. There is no turning back for Ranu whose singing chops became the talk of the town post her viral video. However, the latest reports about Ranu are surely going to create hysteria among her fans. According to IANS report, a biopic on the internet sensation is in the making. Yes, that's right. Not only this, the makers have also approached a Bengali National-Award winning actress, Sudipta Chakraborty for the same. Director Hrishikesh Mondal to helm this biopic and is gearing up to bring Mondal's life on the big screens.

Confirming the development, Sudipta told the portal, "Yes, I have been offered the film. However, I am yet to receive a script. I will decide if I want to play the character only after reading the script." The biopic will be titled, Platform Singer Ranu Mondal. The film will showcase Ranu’s journey from singing at the Ranaghat railway station to singing Bollywood songs with Himesh Reshammiya.


Meanwhile, after the veteran singer, Lata Mangeskar's comment was misconstrued in the media, Himesh was the one to clear the air and came out in open to support the rising star Ranu Mondal by saying that she is gifted with this talent and no one can match Lata Mangeshkar's voice. Ranu is not copying her and Lata Mangeshkar is an inspiration for the budding singer.


Earlier, a video of Ranu Mondal signing at Ranaghat railway station found its way on the internet. While the video took over online, Himesh took notice and gave her the lifetime opportunity to lend her voice for Teri Meri Kahani from Happy, Hardy and Heer.
